In addition to all the usual, this was a year of many first for us and our girls! Read more below and enjoy our pictures, as well!

S the percussionistSydney Some of Sydney's firsts include starting high school, where she is doing a great job, and being on the tennis team. The Orange High tennis team was quite good this year and Sydney was an important contributor on JV, so much so that she suited out with varsity for CIF play-offs and played a few sets at those matches. Oh, and she thinks it is fun, too! Along with the rest of us, Sydney also attended her first pop concert, seeing Paul McCartney with us at Dodgers Stadium in August.

Sydney continues to study painting at a local art school and had a piece displayed at the Orange County Fair this summer, not only that, but someone offered to purchase it and it is now proudly hanging in their home.

Sierrasierra
In addition to going to the McCartney concert with us all, Sierra's big first this year is that she discovered musical theater. In June she performed in Bye Bye Birdie, and this January she'll be in a production of The Wizard of Oz. Each of these productions was run through a school in Orange called The Music Room, and she is having SO much fun being on the stage!

Sierra also began dabbling in music, playing the ukelele a little and even writing her first original song. She loves her dog, Tips, as does Sydney, and is a HUGE fan of My Little Pony!

Ross and Kristen

are up to the usual things. Kristen is still with The Irvine Company and Ross is still teaching at Rancho Alamitos and spending several weeks at Arrowbear Music Camp with the girls.

We had a musical summer, seeing both Queen and Paul McCartney in concert. Our big first was taking the girls to Las Vegas this summer, where we saw the Love show by Cirque du Soliel and visited the Coke and M&M stores, as well as visiting the white tigers and spending a lot of time at the Mirage pool.

Ross' other big first was serving on his first Jury, which lasted 14 days and was a very interesting process.
Ross released a new CD this year titled Side Effects! You can find out more about that by checking out his website.
