Durand Family Year End Update 2007

Thanks for visiting our little webpage. We'll give you our big news from the year and a few pictures to look at.

First of all, everyone's healthy and happy and the year draws to a close with us hoping to begin a home addition soon [fingers crossed]. Here's what's going on for each of us.

Sydney -Sydney is doing great in the second grade at Cambridge Elementary School. She came in second in one of her two class spelling bees. Sydney still loves art and cartoons, and takes gymnastics each week. Sydney turned 7 this October. One of her favorite things this year was visiting her Dad at Arrowbear Music Camp. Her favorite foods are: vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream, candy, Pizza, noodles, and Pancakes/waffles. Her favorite songs are by the Beatles. Her favorite game is chutes and ladders. Her favorite subject is math. When she grows up she wants to be a ballet teacher.

Sierra - Sierra is about as 4-years-old as they get, she is learning to write her name and loves to sing! Sierra turned 4 in November and this year she had her first real swimming lessons, which she put to good use on our family vacation to Santa Fe. Her favorite food is soup. Her favorite TV show is Dora the Explorer. Her favorite movie is Dora, too. Her favorite game is the bunny game on L-max. Her favorite song is "The bunny Hop." She wants to be a rabbit when she grows up.

Kristen enjoys spending time with her family and had a busy work year. After spending most of the year working as the Marketing Manager of the Inland Empire region of CB Richard Ellis, the end of the year finds her as the Director of Marketing for the Office Properties division of The Irvine Company. During free time she and her family enjoy being at home, walking, visiting  Disneyland and, of course, their annual visit to Santa Fe. At the end of the day, she and her husband like to unwind to some of their favorite TVshows, like Heroes and Journeyman.

Ross is doing the usual stuff: teaching, going to camp, music, etc... A musical highlight was his participation writing music for Limbo Lane, a short film produced by Cineclipse productions. This school year has him returning to teaching some chemistry for the first time in several years. Ross often participates in Songfight! and his other musical highlights can be found at his webpage.
