The Durand Family Year-End Update - 2006
We'd love to hear from you. E-mail us at rdurand@socal.rr.com
Once again this year, everyone is healthy and happy. Read on to find out how our year has been.

Sydney turned 6 on October 30 and had a heck of a busy year!! She's in first grade now after successfully completing Kindergarten at Cambridge (elementary school). Sydney has lost two teeth and three more are loose. She enjoys reading books, playing with her best friend Emma, and going to her weekly gymnastics lesson where her favorite thing is the bars. During the summer she had the chance to visit Dad for two weekends at Arrowbear Music Camp. Oh, and she wants you to know that she's hyper and doesn't like when people call her "Cindy."

Favorite Song: "From Me To You"
Favorite TV show(s): Tom and Jerry, Avatar, Jimmy Neutron
Favorite Food: Ice Cream
Favorite thing to do: Jump Rope

Sierra is three years old as of November 10. She is a silly little girl who loves laughing and loves to make other people laugh. (Did you get that Aunt Beverly?) She loves to play dress up, spin in circles, and sing songs she learned at school. She moved up from the yellow room to the blue room in day care and can say all her colors!

Favorite song: Itsy Bitsy Spider
Favorite color: Pink
Best Friend: Jackson
Favorite Move: Cars

Kristen has had an eventful employment year. She is finishing it working as the Marketing Manager for the inland empire region of CB Richard Ellis after leaving CBRE in March and working for six months at Amies Communications, a  marketing and PR firm in Irvine CA. Among other things, while at Amies she assisted in the branding for the FanZone at the California Speedway (Fontana) just in time for the big Labor Day weekend race. The drive to Ontario each day can sometimes be long, but it is made easier because most days she carpools with her good friend Emily. After family time at home she enjoys catching up on her TV shows like NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Studio 60, and our new favorite, Heroes.

Ross continues to spread himself too thin by teaching, husbanding, dadding and still trying to maintain his musical hobby. Ross is still teaching science at Rancho Alamitos High School in Garden Grove and was recognized for 10 years service in the district this year. After spending time with beautiful girls and wife (including catching up on TV with her) he can be found sneaking to the "outhouse" to record songs for Songfight!, an online informal community of songwriters.
This summer found Ross returning once again to Arrowbear Music Camp for four weeks (in two 2-week stints) to work with the high school aged campers. Luckily both his family and the camp family are understanding about his need to make that balance during the summers!

All together a busy but satisfying year!!!! Happy New Year to all, and thanks for taking the time to look at our little report!!
