 2009
- the end of a decade (depending
on how you count :-)
- Ten
years ago we had just bought our home in Orange, our
first child would be born by the end of 2000, Kristen was just
graduating from her MBA. Wow how time flies. She finished her masters
and Ross did one as well, two fabulous children
have been born, the house was doubled, facebook got created, wars have
been fought, lives have been lost, heroes have emerged, leaders have
changed. In the end we are thankful for our family and friends, our
health, and our employment. Sydney - Sydney is doing great in fourth grade. She
has learned to love reading and is in the advanced group for social
studies. Every week she does gymnastics at a local family-owned
gymnastics studio. Her best subject is still math, where she is
continuing to master division and often gets the chance to help other
students out. She also stil loves art - last spring a piece of her art
was selected to be sent to the district office to represent the school In November she was chosen Student of the Month for her classroom. At recess she likes to swing with her friends. at home she loves playing with her sister and watching TV. She loves all the shows on Disney channel and Nickelodeon - especially iCarly. She makes her father proud by loving the Beatles.  Sierra
- Sierra is having a blast in first grade. She loves math just like her sis and is becoming an excellent adder and subtractor. She loves to play with her toys - she recently got a blow-up lion that is a favorite. At recess she likes to play, at home she likes to watch tv and snuggle. She is a music kid and loves the song "Buzz buzz" by Laurie Berkner.  Kristen continues to thrive at The Irvine Company
as the company weathers tough times. When she's not at work (or
getting to or from it) she continues to enjoy her family, reading, and
some relaxing tv. Some of her favorite shows are Lost and Psych. She
and Ross have also been enjoying getting acquanted with 30 Rock via
netflix.This summer Kristen started the hobby of jewelry making, which is a great way to spend time and bring out her artistic side. But pretty much nothing is as good as snuggling her family and our dog, Copper.   Ross keeps teaching science at Rancho Alamitos
High. He loves spending
time with his family, even if it is helping with homework.In summer he still spends a few weeks at Arrowbear Music Camp and especially enjoys when his daughters come up there to visit him. Ross remains active with his music hobby - he wrote 14 songs in February and 50 songs in 90 days over the summer, both as part of online songwriting challenges. He has also continued to compose as part of the Cineclipse film making group. You can always find out more about his music at his website. |
