The Durand Family Year-End Update - 2005

First-of-all,
everyone is healthy and happy. Read on to find out how our year has
been. Sydney[pictures] turned
5
on October 30 and probably had the biggest year of all of us. She
graduated preschool in June and is now attending Kindergarten at
Cambridge Elementary School. Her best subjects are math and art and in
September she was Student of the Month!! She goes to school there with
her friend down the street, Emma.
 Sierra [pictures] turned two on
November 10. She is talking like crazy and loves toys, music, movies,
other people's shoes, and her family! Kristen
and Ross celebrated their 10th anniversary on October 29th. Kristen is
continuing her career in marketing at CB Richard Ellis (see her company
bio here). In her rare free moments she is, of
course, spending time
with her family.Ross [pictures] is still busy but has actually had a little more time  to himself this
year. Ross
spent some time
at Arrowbear Music Camp, but less than usual. Ross continues to teach
science at Rancho Alamitos High School where he also serves as
department chair and on a few committees. A musical highlight for
Ross was receiving an award in the Unisong International Songwriting
Contest. He also involved himself in Songfight! this year and actually
won one week. you can see his web

developments.The family took their yearly trip to Santa Fe this summer where much time was spent with Mimi and Pop-pop. The trip was cut short because Sydney goes to year round school. At the beginning of September Mimi and Pop-pop moved to La Quinta. We have visited 3 times so far and look forward to spending more time out there in the future. All together a busy but satisfying year!!!! Happy New Year to all, and thanks for taking the time to look at our little report!! |
